What is the usual turnaround time for bonnets and moccasins?
Made-to-order bonnets can take as long as 4 weeks, depending on the length of the order list. The most accurate bonnet turnaround time will be displayed at the top of each bonnet product description. All ready-to-ship bonnets will go out 3-5 business days after order date.
Moccs generally ship within 7-10 business days, unless otherwise stated. If your order consists of both moccasins and a made-to-order bonnet, your order will not ship out until all items in the order are complete. If you would like the moccasins to ship out prior to the bonnet being done, please add instructions in the "Notes to Seller" section or send us a quick email.
What size should I order for my baby/child?
If ordering a pair of moccasins, there will be a sizing chart on each listing, or you can find it here. I generally advise that you add 1/2" - 3/4" to the measurement of your child's foot. For example, if your child's foot is measuring 4", you would want to order size 6-12 months - which measures 4.5". This will allow for ample room and a longer duration of wear time.
If ordering a bonnet, you will want to measure the circumference of the largest part of your child's head. Each bonnet will have an element of stretch to them because they are hand knit, so typically you will want to size up if your child is between sizes. Can I wash my bonnet/moccasins?
Bonnets can be hand washed in cold water with a mild soap (optional). To help retain their shape and detail, do not rub the bonnet against itself or with any kind of scrubbing tool. Do not stretch excessively or pull on any part of it while wet. When done washing, gently squeeze out excess water with your hands, do not wring. Place the bonnet between two towels and firmly press to get any remaining water out. Lay flat on a towel and gently reshape. Do not put your bonnet in the dryer - this will shrink the fibers and the bonnet will no longer fit your child's head. If at all possible, it's best not to wash at all if you don't have to.
If you need to wash your moccasins, use a slightly damp paper towel/hand towel/mostly dry baby wipe to remove any surface stain or dirt. This may change the look of the leather, so proceed at your own risk. The leather may turn a slightly darker shade where you wiped. Do not submerge in water. If your child's moccasins become soaked in any kind of water/liquid, put paper towels inside the moccasins to encourage them to retain their shape as they dry. You may try and use a hair dryer on a lower heat setting to help expedite the process. Do not put moccasins in the dryer.
How long will it take to get my order after it ships?
All orders are shipped through USPS First Class mail, so you should receive your package within 2-5 business days from ship date. If you would like your order to arrive sooner, Priority Mail 2 day is an option - please email for rates and an invoice.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Please contact us before returning any item.
we gladly accept exchanges for unworn merchandise within 30 days of receiving the product. All return shipping costs are the expense of the customer. If the product you're wanting to exchange for is out of stock/preorder, you have the option to wait for its return to the shop or receive a store credit for the price of the item(s).
Please get in touch with us if your product is defective or there is some other form of issue.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your order before it is shipped. Refunds will be issued in a timely fashion, but may take up to 3-5 days to post on your account.
All items that are listed at sale price or sold internationally are final sale.
My package was lost/stolen, now what?
Little Pine Outfitters is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they have been sent in the mail. Contacting your local USPS office is the quickest way to get answers and resolution. Refunds will not be issued for lost packages. Packages that are lost by USPS will be replaced after 30 days and after 60 days for international packages - dependent on product availability. Store credit can be issued if that is a better alternative. If you would like upgraded shipping to ensure lost/stolen packages aren't an issue, please email for a shipping quote.
